Cantilever Parasols of Various Sizes and Ways

Besides middle pole parasols, we also provide cantilever parasols, maybe better known as overhanging parasols or even banana parasols. Questions which arise are; what are the advantages, the disadvantages, the available sizes and the way of mounting the umbrella on it’s base or into the ground.

The biggest advantage of a cantilever parasol is the amount of space that is available without a base standing in the way, the base is always placed on the side of the umbrella. In most cases the base is placed on the flat side of the cloth, but for other models the base is placed on the corner of the cloth. The advantage of the placement of the base depends on the way the cantilever parasol will be placed into your garden.
A disadvantage of a cantilever parasol is the way of folding in together, a cantilever parasol closes towards it’s base and therefor is somewhat lower than a regular middle pole parasol. We take care of this problem, by using the possibility of turning the cantilever parasol. By doing so, the umbrella is able to close without knocking over any chairs or other furniture in your backyard. This way, it is very easy to close the umbrella, without moving your stuff around, or without having to buy a telescopic parasol which is –in most cases-  more expensive and even bigger when closed.

The cantilever parasols come in various sizes, from small to large. The available sizes on stock are; 260*260cm the Solero Cielo cantilever parasol, 300*300cm, 350cm round, both Solero Laterna cantilever parasols, 300*400cm and 400*400cm, both Solero Palestro cantilever parasols. Besides the regular sizes we also provide rectangular cantilever parasols and round cantilever parasols.

We are able to mount the cantilever parasols in various ways, an example is using a ground anchor, or a slab base. We also provides shrivel wheels to add tot he slab base, so you can easily move your cantilever parasol around your garden if necessary. An advantage of a ground anchor is the stability of the parasol, by the heavy weight of the concrete the parasol is very stable, besides that, it is impossible to hurt your feet by passing by the ground anchor. It can be very painful if you hurt your feet to a slab base while moving around in your garden on flipflops. Besides that, a ground anchor is invisible and therefor the nicest looking solution.
